Big News from Mexico – Dolphins Are Free!

Something amazing just happened in Mexico, and it’s making waves—literally! The Senate voted 99–0 (that means everyone agreed!) to set dolphins and other marine animals free. They didn’t just make a rule—they actually freed about 350 dolphins, seals, and other ocean friends back into the wild where they belong.

Why Is This Such a Big Deal?

For a long time, many dolphins and marine animals lived in tanks for shows or tourist attractions. People could see them jump, spin, and “smile” on command. But here’s the truth: those animals weren’t smiling because they were happy—they were trained to do it. Tanks are much smaller than the ocean, and even the biggest tank in the world can’t compare to the freedom of swimming for miles every day.

By setting them free, Mexico is saying, “Animals deserve to live the lives they were born to live.”
